Boukas shares Morning Walk from upcoming EP.

This track marks the first release from Boukas new series, titled “Inkel Stories.” It blends Boukas’ dreamy musical style with Antons’ playful keyboard melodies and Kristoffer Eikrems impressive trumpet performances. The composition encapsulates the sensation of a tranquil morning stroll toward a meaningful destination, set against a backdrop of radiant sunlight that fills one with hope. The piece evokes a blend of timeless charm reminiscent of 1950s New York combined with the contemporary vibe of Stockholm in 2023. Notably, the track has been recorded onto cassette, imparting a delightful vintage ambiance with the unique characteristic of analog equipment.

“Inkel Stories” represents Boukas’ latest series, deriving its name from his acquisition of new equipment, including a 4-track cassette deck and an Inkel mixer. The distinctive characteristics of this mixer, featuring an inherently gritty sound along with a built-in delay effect, are perceptible throughout the record, notably on elements like snare drums. Boukas consistently crafts music that mirrors life’s various scenarios, often leaning into a monochromatic musical palette that invites listeners to infuse their own colors, a sentiment mirrored in the album covers.
