From Boukas – This is the third and the last track of Boukas new series ”Inkel Stories”. The song has a mix of Boukas dreamy style, with punchy drums and an overall organic feeling. Mixed with Antons playfulness on keys. This song represent the vibe of getting back from work, sitting on the commuter train away from the big city, looking out of the window, daydreaming. It has been recorded to cassette which gives the track a nice dusty feeling, with all the characteristics that analog gear can give.
EP Biography: ”Inkel Stories” is the new series from Boukas. The name comes from that Boukas bought some new gear which included a 4-track cassette deck, and a mixer from Inkel. The mixer has a dirty sound with a built in delay, which can be heard for example on snare drums throughout the record. Boukas always work with music that is a represantion of situations in life. He likes to work with black and white music, which gives the listener the opportunity to add in color, which is also represented on the covers. The cover photos are taken by Boukas with a Ilford Delta 3200 film of the places and situations that gave inspiration to the tracks. The cover and music are in a symbiosis with the grainy pictures and grainy soundscapes. So the music and the pictures are analogue.
