Today we had the honor of sharing Kreatev’s new EP titled Afternoon Drive – If you’re familiar with his work from before, you all know he is a major car enthusiast and he always blend in different elements from this scene into the beatmaking scene. We are seeing five beautiful songs carefully selected by the great producer from Atlanta, he was recently part of the Chillhop spring collection with the song ‘Street Glow‘ which we’ve had on repeat lately here.
The grooves and rhythm are key elements when you’re listening to his beats and there’s always a new angle or approach to his beatmaking, i would highly recommend to check out his Instagram series where he upload small snippets from what he’s currently working on. Some of the beats in the EP you will be able to hear in these small stories so it’s a great way to get a sneak-preview before the official releases.
I spoke to Kreatev about this project, this is what he had to say about his approach and vision: I wanted to make an EP with a few beats that you can ride or cruise to. Something that compliments the ride home from work or a cruise with your modified car.
