Hamburg meets Vienna, mädmäx meets Saiko. Both of the two prolific beatmakers have released on Golden Ticket Tapes in the past, whether on compilations such as “IN THE LAB 04” or the beloved “Soul Treats” remix project, as well as on digital singles or EPs. The first ever collabo between these two resulted in the track “Nightbus”, which will be released on June 7th as a single on all DSPs and later also appears on the highly anticipated “IN THE LAB 05” comp by the Leipzig based Label.
The track combines the jazzy sample based approach by mädmäx with Saiko’s awesome synth-work. The outcome is a hybrid of 90s Boom bap and elaborated West Coast sound. Based on an almost hypnotic piano loop with hard hitting drums and lively percussion mixed with catchy synthesizer lines and lots of lovely details in the arrangement.
