Today i’m honored to share the new single from German producer RINZ. with you all, titled Reminisce. It’s a story telling track that was made through his memories when he spent his time in the birthplace of hip-hop – New York, US. The vibe is always groovy & a solid bounce as always when sharing tracks with us that’s one of the main reasons i love working with him. When i spoke with him, here’s what he had to say and also his vision for the track.
I made the track Reminisce as a way to channel my emotionsand experiences about my time living in New York. It was a place that left a lasting impression on me and served as asource of inspiration for my art – As Rick Rubin said, channeling emotions into a beautiful work of art can be therapeutic, and that was certainly the case for me as I poured my experiences and feelings about the city into my new track.
The boom bap feeling of the track transports the listener back in time, reminding them of their own experiences and memories. Although I only lived in New York for 1.5 years, it felt like a much longer time because of all the experiences I had and the people I met. The graffities in Brooklyn, the rugged feel of thesubway stations, and the busy sidewalks in Manhattan all left a lasting impression on me. Reminisce is my tribute to that time and the city will always be a part of me. Let’s take a trip down memory lane together!
