A producer we’ve worked closely with through several solo releases over the years, but also as one of the in-house names involved throughout the upcoming compilation where the entire focus can be narrowed down into two simple things: jazz & beats.

There’s a certain direction we wanted to capture with “Frank’s Joint” from the very beginning. Jazzy grooves with polished arrangements. Each producer involved on the project approaches that feeling differently, which is also what makes the full compilation come together naturally instead of sounding boxed into one formula.

Similar to the rollout behind “High Street 2”, we’ll once again be presenting the producers one by one through individual singles before the entire album lands in early July. It’s a way for listeners to spend more time with each contribution separately while also getting introduced to the people shaping the full project from the inside.

One of the most active beatmakers in the scene, KLIM has been steadily releasing music every week for years now. I’m really excited to share this first glimpse into his upcoming project - a full dedication to the roots of hip-hop and the classic tools that shaped its sound.

Particularly around the 1:25 mark, the production opens into a moment of pure bliss - uplifting, soulful, and beautifully layered with emotion and warmth. It’s the kind of progression that quietly stays with you long after the track ends.

Both producers are also set to appear on our upcoming theme release arriving at the end of May, with more music and collaborations to be revealed very soon.

Meanwhile, Flitz&Suppe continues his creative journey across Europe following recent travels through Japan and back to Germany, and is currently exploring Stockholm and Oslo. Constantly drawing inspiration from different cultures, environments, and everyday moments, he balances photography and beat-making while creating on the move - I am really excited to see his photos from this adventure.

As for Oh, My., ongoing conversations around future releases and new creative directions continue behind the scenes. While not too much can be revealed just yet, exciting new material is currently taking shape from his new studio in Malmö, Sweden.

A new collaboration track by ØDYSSEE and Saib drops today on the Ninetofive® catalog under the title Miragem. Whenever Saib’s production gets brought up, the conversation usually lands on the same thing - everything feels carefully placed, from the grooves to the melodic layers. Add ØDYSSEE into that recipe and you already know the tones are about to drift into creative territory filled with small details that make the whole track feel colorful and alive.

Miragem moves through multiple sections that make the song feel like a full journey, even though it only runs for two minutes. A really beautiful collaboration from the two, packed with atmosphere and subtle turns that really impress me as a listener.

The Miragem track was produced together in ØDYSSEE’s apartment in Rotterdam, making it a fully organic session driven by present energy instead of juggling ideas back and forth through emails - just spontaneous grooves and ideas naturally flowing, which is something you can clearly hear while listening.

The sixth single from Philanthrope’s upcoming PastWeekend album is here under the title Tozai. “Tozai” (東西) literally translates to “East and West” in Japanese — symbolizing a bridge between Orient and Occident — and the track draws strong inspiration from the time spent in Japan during late 2025 together with Flitz&Suppe.

The previous singles from the album have already reached listeners around the world and now we’re getting closer to closing this chapter and sharing some new flavors that have been evolving behind the scenes.

We can expect more developed arrangements and organic instrumentation throughout the upcoming releases, with contributions from guitarists and other live musicians, while still staying true to the signature sound and atmosphere that has made Philanthrope’s music connect with so many people over the years.

At the time of writing, Philanthrope is in Berlin working in the studio with two fast-rising German rappers who go under the aliases jamieh & Big168.

Tonight, Philanthrope attends the ROKKO WEISSENSEE & BLEND – Berlin show at Festsaal Kreuzberg in Berlin-Treptow, where he reunites with Rokko Weissensee, having produced the beats for the album Das weiße Rauschen

crewbalance; Growing up, I would head into the mountains for snowboarding with my dad and uncle listening to jazzy house and acid-jazz. St. Germain was a common pick. Through the years I’ve had my focus mainly on the production of Jazz, Neo-soul and Hip-Hop under the name Snarez.

While that project has been doing very well, I have a vast arsenal of genres under my belt and it felt like time to branch out. A few years back, I decided to take those listening experiences within the House scene and make them personal, drawing inspiration from artists like Chaos in the CBD and Tom Vernon. After a good year or two of finding my sound, the first few tracks were born.

This EP embodies memories and feelings of the past few years coming forward in a deep, jazzy house sound palette. The name crewbalance came up through various talks with my close friend Jan Pack. We had long discussions about the importance of close friends. Who you let in to your circle often has immediate effect to those around you and thus should not be taken lightly.

Hence, the name “Crew Balance.” Special thanks to the Ninetofive® crew for the trust in my music and very special thanks to Jan for helping me brainstorm about the name and for being a friend one could only wish for.

90s East Coast at its core - drums upfront, loops untouched, and verses that mattered more than polish.

There’s a clear thread running through it: the DNA of Showbiz & A.G. and the wider D.I.T.C. movement. Records like Next Level weren’t just songs - Built for DJ's, stretched in sets, tested in real time. Next to them sit soundtrack-era essentials like Crooklyn Dodgers ‘95, a reminder of when hip-hop and film moved in sync, feeding off the same street narratives.

But what really defines a collection like this isn’t the classics - it’s the edges. The white labels. The off-center pressings. The MF Grimm record that looks like it passed through a few hands before landing here. The slightly obscure Mic Geronimo piece that might not stand out to everyone, but means everything to the right listener. That’s where the real value lives - not just in price, but in perspective.

Back then, records like Livin’ Proof weren’t even universally praised. Some questioned the lyrics. DJs didn’t care; they heard the raw, stripped, undeniable beats, and that was enough.

Today, those same records are cornerstones-still being played, still teaching. Hip-hop was never about what was popular; it was always about what had heat.

KLIM said himself the mix represents a time in his life where the only focus he had was these records, skateboarding and just living healthy & good. A work ethic like noone else creating beats every day I am really honored to be sharing this new Secret Stash episode with him.
