It’s not-too-commonly known that without Knxwledge there would be no Streets Of Beige. It was his uniquely beautiful and staggeringly original LP Klouds that first drew us along the line of best beats, and from there we drilled finding many of the current wave of artists that can be found on our mixes and event lineups alike.
But Knxwledge himself is something of a mystery, having such an individual sound as to be in a league of his own. Terrifyingly warm compression along with a strong live playing style, and that characteristic staggered beat, have kept us coming back for more of his prolific output. From the jazz and lounge sampling Skrawberries to the deep and subtle Kannaloupe EP, Knxwledge often treads new ground whilst keeping the sound so identifiably his.
A modern master and lover of the beat, this is his mix for us – and it tells you more about the man than we can ever put into words.
