A year since BEAMIN from el.
A year has gone since el. released his debut BEAMIN on the catalogue and back in October the deluxe version STILL BEAMIN was published.
Looking back at el.’s debut album in the STILL BEAMIN catalog, it’s clear he wasn’t interested in playing the game the way it was being sold to him. The record stood apart because it ignored algorithm logic and playlist politics altogether, choosing instead to let the beats speak on their own terms. What came out was a nostalgic road trip through soulful grooves and low-end basslines, rooted in southern 808’s but framed through a modern lens. His own cinematic voice quotes and a natural swing gave the album a feel that didn’t chase movement, it created it.
From el. “One thing I must highlight about this experience is the collaborative effort between Lou and me-specifically, the turnaround time from “Hey, I have an idea” to “Hey, here’s the first draft… what are your thoughts?”
Countless messages exchanged via text, an overwhelming number of files sent through Dropbox, and even registering and publishing the music from two different sides of the globe all serve as further proof that creativity has no boundaries. This project would not be what it is today without Lou and his eagerness to contribute to every idea I’ve brought to him. It’s truly fascinating and further explains why Ninetofive® is on the brink of becoming a prominent independent label.

In the time since STILL BEAMIN, el. has been on the road across the United States, performing the album live and quietly sharing bonus material that never made it past his hard drive. No rollout, no fixed strategies, only moments traded face to face.
Now, with some distance between then and now, the focus turns forward: where his head is at after that stretch, how he views the road ahead, and what the next chapter looks like - its direction, themes, releases, collaborations, and what we can expect moving through 2026 together.
