"Any Kind Of Jazz" house mixtape made on the S900 and the SP-1200 by KLIM
A tribute to the origins of house music by KLIM in mixtape format.
A new mixtape release titled “Any Kind Of Jazz” by KLIM produced on the SP-1200 and the S900 including eleven uptempo house flavored tracks with lots of groove and rhythm and total analog feel made in his studio in Kyiv, Ukraine.
His approach is always to include the listeners and organic fans instead of pleasing algorithms in terms of what’s popular or what works for editorial playlists. A new wave of thinking in today’s production, giving light and respect to the origins of house music, which is also a big part of his inspiration when he is not producing the classic beats you’d expect to be released - always on a mission to surprise the listener and involve them in his musical playground.
The release at this moment is just scheduled to be live through Bandcamp and YouTube as it was never intended to be officially published. I spoke with KLIM and this is what he wanted to express about the release “Any Kind Of Jazz”.
First up, happy new years to everyone and I just wanted to say that this material that I have produced mostly sounds the way the tapes I listened to in my childhood did. I’m trying to capture the atmosphere of that time - how music sounded when it was played on a cassette boombox or a portable player, not in the highest quality.
There’s a certain warmth, imperfection, and nostalgia in that sound that I want to preserve. A full uptempo tape with tons of grooves, a bit of a different style in terms of beats but I have a lot of love for all music, I hope you all will appreciate this one.
