A new single collaboration between Flitz&Suppe and bert cussion released on the Ninetofive®
Part two of welcoming bert cussion to the Ninetofive® catalog today. I’m genuinely happy to present their single “Business Of Buzziness” - a dedication to the rawer East Coast sound, while still remaining highly melodic.
It’s a track where two producers, who I believe consistently manage to innovate with new styles, bridge both the classic feel and the modern sound of today. Flitz&Suppe met bert cussion last year while staying at the same hostel near the Zugspitze in Germany. They connected through shared interests like hiking and snowboarding. During their conversations, bert mentioned he owned a hang drum.
Flitz&Suppe, who had long been interested in the instrument but never owned one, suggested that bert cussion record a full hang drum session if he ever played and send it over for sampling. bert later did exactly that and shared the recorded stems. The hang drum can be heard most clearly in the intro, forming the foundation for the track that followed.
