Nuncc & Makzo - Dusk
A new collaboration single betewen Nuncc & Makzo released on the Ninetofive®
A new single produced by Zack Mortimer, also known as Makzo, a Canadian-born, London-based producer known for putting a modern twist on a classic old-school aesthetic. This marks the first official collaboration released under the Ninetofive® catalog, and I’m proud to present it alongside a familiar name we’ve previously worked with - Nuncc. Our earlier collaboration, “Layers,” remains one of my personal favorites.
The single is a fusion of their styles, built around material captured during Makzo’s journey through Tokyo, Japan - which is also reflected in the official cover artwork.
The overall feel is calm and smooth, with small, subtle scratches that sit gently in the background. They’re not overly pronounced, but they help maintain that organic early ’90s hip-hop vibe. The track stays true to that raw foundation while still feeling fresh and natural.
