I am incredibly honored to be sharing the third single from the upcoming House Blends Vol. IV with IAMNOBODI
Nearly half of the total years he’s been on this earth, IAMNOBODI has been making music. Starting at age 13 just making beats, he was well on the path to becoming a professional musician. He comes from a musically passionate family - his nigerian-born father was a blues and jazz singer, mom, always a music connoisseur and supporter.
Based in Berlin, IAMNOBODI has made a name for himself through his longstanding work and relationship with los angeles based record label Soulection, his productions, own projects, and remixes, his work as a solo artist plus his contributions for many international artists like Nipsey Hussle (which landed him a grammy nomination) and Lil’ Wayne, Bryson Tiller, Little Simz, G-Eazy or Wale.
With inspirations ranging from jazz and soul to house, hiphop, ambient and diverse electronic sounds, his creations take on a life of their own with each song a unique and carefully put together gem. As a DJ, his live shows have been working crowds all over the world (playing shows with Kaytranada, Flying Lotus, Sango and more) and he’s continuing to shake up dancefloors worldwide.
Featuring a fresh lineup of talented artists from around the world. Our vision for these releases has always been simple – to step a little outside the usual Ninetofive sound, lean into that uptempo vibe, and just relax outside with the homies.
Each artist on this tape was invited for their individual sound and unique production style. We’re truly thankful for all the support on the previous volumes, which have been featured across outlets like Soulection Radio through Apple Music and Sushi Club Los Angeles.
I am really impressed with how he put together this one. We discussed and talked about the theme and our vision to be more offline and just enjoy life with friends outside in a pre-social media era, and the pieces just fell into place.
As always, we’re teaming up with the amazing Las Vegas-based photographer alexviisuals for both the cover photo and video material. He’s been with us since Vol. I, II, III and his work continues to bring the series to life and setting the mood right with his unique style - Big love for that.
