"Come Clean" is a 1993 song by Jeru the Damaja from his 1994 debut album The Sun Rises in the East. The song appeared in many compilation albums. In the fourth installment of Complex TV’s Magnum Opus, Jeru the Damaja details the making of his 1993 classic, "Come Clean."

Kendrick Jeru Davis was, and remains, one of the most unique voices in hip hop. A self-confessed ‘weirdo’, Jeru owned the early-90s underground rap scene in New York, solo and with his affiliations with the likes of Gang Starr. While the United States and the rest world were starting to really take notice of the ‘phase’ that was hip hop, Jeru was staying true to himself, a quality that has lead him to one of the longest careers anyone in hip hop has ever carved out.

Released: October 26, 1993
Format: 12" single, CD single
Genre: East Coast hip hop
Label: Payday/FFRR
Writers: Kendrick Jeru Davis, Kirk Jones, Shelly Manne, Chris E. Martin, Fred Scruggs, Tyrone Taylor.

Join the tribe.

Producers whose work is selected for release on the catalog will have the support of our team in developing high-quality art and with developing a promotional strategy for the release. Our editorial staff also conducts interviews and develops press bios with many of the artists on our roster; we care about helping expose the individuals and stories behind the music.

Since we care about the producer, we aim to keep a in-house membership due to travelling, live-shows and yearly gatherings including support from the crew whenever a producer is releasing something new on the catalog.
